Baaresh

Baaresh interprets traditional Iranian music through the depth and clarity of the Dastgāh system, drawing on modes such as Shur, Segāh, Chahārgāh, Homāyun, Māhour, Navā, and Rāst-Panjgāh. The trio—Moez Mousavi on vocal, Armin Riazifar on santoor, and Arman Gouniai on tombak—shapes each performance through modal development, measured improvisation, and rhythmic dialogue. Their work treats the tradition as a living musical language, allowing the interaction between voice and instruments to reveal the subtle shifts, contours, and expressive weight inherent in Dastgāh-based practice.
